In the heart of the third-largest city of Sweden, Malmö, lies Soulspin. An online record shop born from passion, family, and the joy of the dig.

Soulspin is Jazz, Soulspin is beats, Soulspin is Soul. Catered delicacy for collectors, diggers and enthusiasts.

Soulspin is me – the guy with the Brian Eno record. My name is Marcos, I’m 24 years old, born in Copenhagen, currently living in Malmö. Passionate about Jazz, HipHop, Soul and anything else that pleases my ears at the moment.

Soulspin is also the community around it — the people who shaped me and the sound I love. My grandad José, crazy about Blues and Rock. My father Hernán, introduced me to HipHop, Jazz and Latin music. My friends from town, who got me shredding Thrash metal on the guitar.

With all these influences around me, family, friends, music heads from Malmö to Copenhagen, Soulspin slowly took shape long before it had a name.

But the moment it truly began was about a decade ago. Dad and I visited an old couple in the outskirts of Landskrona, who had sold us a pair of Prince records. Walking into their small apartment, we noticed their professional setup, drying newly washed records on their kitchen drying rack. Surprised and curious, we asked them:

“Quite the operation you got here, huh?”

“It’s a serious business, for us retired old farts!”

We talked about that interaction for weeks. Such a cool side gig, why not try it ourselves?

The rest is history (for us at least). Auction sites across Sweden, Discogs internationally, local fairs and roadtrips around the Öresund region. Picking up collections, rescuing forgotten gems, and finding them new homes.

Inspired by local giants like Rundgång and Dåndimpen in Malmö, and Vinyl.EU and CAN in Copenhagen, it was time to take it to the next level, so welcome to Soulspin! We hope you can find something you like!
